The Future Skills Now is all about inclusivity and the discovery of your potential.

About this event

THE SUMMER PROGRAMME

During those two summer sessions, we will do practical group exercises to understand and apply best practices in a particular context in the workplace.

The focus of this session will be Persuasion, Negotiation and Emotional Intelligence!

You will have a brief introduction on the topic and an explanation of the activities, you will then be split into breakout rooms to work with teammates chosen randomly.

At the end of the session you will be able to share your work and learning with people, we will go trough the takeaway and how to apply in real life what you have done during the session!

THE BENEFITS

At the end of the session you will have a better understanding of a particular soft skills you need to manage for the workplace but you will also have worked on your network by interacting with students from other universities.

You will also receive a certificate that you can mention on Linkedin and add to your resume!

  • Students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds living in Ireland
  • 1st generation students with no history of 3rd level education in the family
  • Students residing in communities with lowest progression to third level education
  • Students experiencing double disadvantage (disability and socio-economic disadvantage)
  • Students who identify as being a member of an under-represented group at third level
  • Young people in the care of the State
  • Young carers
  • Members of the Traveller community

WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT

We collect and process various categories of personal information at the start of and for the duration of your relationship with us. We will limit the collection and processing of information to information necessary to achieve one or more legitimate purposes as identified in this notice. Personal Information may include:

• Basic personal information including name and address, date of birth and contact details

• Education details including college course

We may also process certain special categories of information for specific and limited purposes. We will only process special categories of information where we’ve obtained your explicit consent or are otherwise lawfully permitted to do. This may include:

• Information about racial or ethnic origin

• Socio-economic background

• Physical or psychological health details or medical conditions

HOW/WHERE WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

Enactus Ireland will collect your personal data when you:

· Deal with Enactus Ireland in person, by telephone, letter, email or via our website

· Join the Enactus Ireland Network as either a Student, Alumni, University Adviser, Partner Organisation, Business Adviser

· Register to attend one of our events

· Sign up to our mailing list on our website

Enactus Ireland Events

We collect your personal information and contact details when you register for an Enactus Ireland event. Relevant personal data will be collected to ensure you are fully able to engage in the activities at the event and to ensure we have the relevant information to properly protect you whilst on site at our events. Once you have registered and consented to be contacted by us, we will share event related news and updates and may contact you about any future events we think you may be interested in. Mentors, Advisors and Students

If you register as a member of the Enactus Ireland Network (which includes but is not limited to: Student Team Member, University Adviser/Business Adviser/Alumni Mentor or Partner Organisation), we will request some of your personal data. We will collect information only where relevant and send you news, updates and relevant communications. Your details will only be shared with others in the network once you have consented. Periodically we will ask you to participate in surveys which help us to assess our work, create reports (using anonymised data only) and to inform improvements in our programme.

The Enactus Ireland Website

By visiting www.enactus.ie, you are accepting the terms of the Website Privacy Policy. This website contains external links to other websites and Enactus Ireland is not held responsible for the privacy policies of these other websites.

The Enactus Ireland website does not store or capture any personal information when someone visits it. The system will log your IP address along with other information provided by your browser. This may include the name and version of the browser you are using, your operating system and any website address that referred you to the Enactus Ireland Website. This information will only be used for producing anonymous website statistics and will be used to help us with the delivery of services on the website.

However, the system will record personal information if you

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month.

CHANGES TO HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

From time to time we may change the way we use your information. Where we believe you may not reasonably expect such a change we will notify you and will allow you a period of at least 30 days for you to raise any objections before that change is made. However, please note that in some cases, if you do not agree to such changes if may not be possible for you to continue to be involved in the organisation or for us to continue to provide certain services to you.

HOW WE SHARE AND USE YOUR INFORMATION WITHIN ENACTUS IRELAND

We will only use and share your information where it is necessary for us to carry out our business activities.

SHARING WITH THIRD PARTIES

We will not share your information with anyone outside Enactus Ireland except:

· Where we have your permission

· Where required for your service

· Where we are required by law and by law enforcement agencies, judicial bodies, government entities, tax authorities or regulatory bodies

· With third parties providing services to us such as agents and sub-contractors acting on our behalf such as the company providing the online affiliation system

· In anonymised form as part of statistics or other aggregated data shared with third parties; or

· Where permitted by law, it is necessary for our legitimate interests or those of a third party, and it is not inconsistent with the purposes listed above.

We will not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

TRANSFERRING INFORMATION OVERSEAS

We may transfer your information to organisations in other countries on the basis that anyone to whom we pass it protects it in the same way and in accordance with applicable laws.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION

Through your involvement in Enactus Ireland we create records that contain your information. Records can be held on a variety of media (physical or electronic) and formats.

We manage our records to help serve those involved with Enactus Ireland well (for example for operational reasons such as attending group sessions) and to comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Records help demonstrate that we are meeting our responsibilities and to keep as evidence of our activities.

Retention periods for records are determined based on the type of record, the nature of the activity or service and the applicable legal and regulatory requirements. We normally keep records for up to four years after your involvement with Enactus Ireland ends whilst other records are retained for shorter periods. Retention periods may be changed from time to time based on business or legal and regulatory requirements.

We may on exception retain your information for longer periods particularly where we need to withhold destruction or disposal based on an order from the courts or an investigation by law enforcement agencies or our regulators.

HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION?

Enactus Ireland takes, and will continue to take, all reasonable steps (which includes relevant technical and organisational measures) to guarantee the safety of the data you provide to us and we will only use the data for the intended purpose.

However, the nature of the internet is such that we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us via the Internet will be 100% secure.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. We may also release your personal data where compliance with legal requirements is a necessity. We also reserve the right to enforce our site policies in order to protect our rights and the rights of other individuals in a manner that is safe and compliant with the law.
