Description

The GAA's Community & Health Department in Croke Park, would like to invite you to their 4th Annual Healthy Club Conference in association with Irish Life in Croke Park on Saturday October 20th. Registration will open from 9am to 9.45am. Conference will commence at 10am and concluded at 3.30pm.

The FREE event themed Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds, Healthy Clubs is designed to support, educate and inspire the GAA volunteers who are driving this important work in communities across the country. The conference will include a mix of presentations, workshops, and discussion elements.

Brid McGoldrick, National Health & Wellbeing Chairperson will open the conference, followed by our Keynote speaker Shane Martin, renowned psychologist dedicated to teaching the very best self-help psychology to empower volunteers to mind themselves.

The breakout workshops will focus on:

Getting Ireland Active - Ireland Lights Up Initative

Games for ALL - Fun and Run (Inclusion & Integration)

Respect Initiative - Give Respect Get Respect

Please note * there will be three iterations of the breakout workshops, meaning each delegate will get an opportunity to attend all workshops on the day.

Healthy Club Heros

This years conference is bringing a new dimension to it by giving Healthy Clubs the opportunity to recognise and nominate their unsung heros in the area of health and wellbeing. Our special guest will present the nominated provinical Healthy Club Heros and County Health & Wellbeing Committee of the year with a plaque to recognise their continued work and commitment within this area of work.

Delegate packs will be provided at registration with lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

Parking Options

Free parking is available in the Davin Carpark (entrance to the carpark is on north circular road). Enter the stadium through the Hogan Entrance (across from the Croke Park Hotel) and signage will direct you from here. Parking is also available in the Croke Park Hotel underground carpark (charge may apply for hotel parking).
