Galley Head Swim 2022

The 4th Annual Galley Head Swim 2022 is in aid of Marymount University Hospital and Hospice and West Cork Underwater Search and Rescue and the Irish Community Air Ambulance will take place on the 9th July this year. All donations and proceeds will be split between both charities.

The swim will start from the Red Strand and go around the Galley Head and finish on the Warren Beach.

Each swimmer or relay team will require a support boat. One boat per swimmer or team (No kayaks allowed).

Minimum sponsorship required to raise is €500 for Solo and €1000 for a relay team and all donations after that would be greatly appreciated. Relay teams to be made up of two, three or four swimmers (Max 4).

HQ for the Swim is The Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery.

T-Shirt and event pack will be provided before the swim at the safety briefing and a medal and towel will be given at the finish. Please refer to the the size guide below.

As this is an open water coastal swim the swim is subject to sea conditions and weather on the day.

A registration fee of €100 per solo or €200 per relay team is required when registering. This fee goes towards your fund-raising target.

All swimmers must be 18 years or over.
