Galley Head Swim 2023

The 5th Annual Galley Head Swim 2023 is in aid of Marymount Hospice, Cancer Connect and CoAction will take place on the 22nd July this year. All donations and proceeds will be shared equally between our three chosen charities.

The swim will start from the Red Strand and go around the Galley Head and finish on the Warren Beach.

Each swimmer or relay team will require a support boat. One boat per swimmer or team (No kayaks allowed).

Minimum sponsorship required to raise is €500 for Solo and €1000 for a relay team - we encourage all participants to raise as much as possible over and above the minimum amount - all donations are greatly appreciated with 100% of funds raised being given to the charities. Relay teams to be made up of two, three or four swimmers (Max 4).

A registration fee of €100 per solo or €200 per relay team is required when registering. This fee goes towards your fund-raising target.

HQ for the Swim is The Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery.

T-Shirt and event pack will be provided before the swim at the safety briefing and a medal and towel will be given at the finish. Please refer to the size guide below.

As this is an open water coastal swim the swim is subject to sea conditions and weather on the day.

All swimmers must be 18 years or over.
