Galway Sports Partnership's Online Safeguarding 1 Course

Safeguarding 1 is designed for everyone involved in children's sport; coaches, parents, match officials and club administrators. Sport Ireland Safeguarding workshops are the workshops recognised across the sporting sector.

The online Safeguarding 1 Workshop is an interactive course which requires participants to:

1. Have good internet connection: allow you to have a video / take part in group discussion

2. Have access to email: The course resources and Zoom link will be emailed to participants in advance of the course.

3. Attend the full course: to gain accreditation, it is essential to complete the whole course

Please note: Participants must be over 18. (Participants under 18 require parental consent)

The online course will be delivered via Zoom, between 6.30pm - 9.30pm.

Certificates of completion will be issued by post and participant details are subsequently registered with Sport Ireland's National Database.
