Galway Sports Partnership's Online Safeguarding 2 Workshop

Safeguarding 2 will help the Club Children’s Officer to carry out the function of their role in the club and support the implementation of best practice in the club.

A person appointed to the Club Children’s Officer position in a club must have completed the Safeguarding 1 workshop. Participants will also receive a Club Children’s Officer Action Planning document as part of the training.

The online Safeguarding 2 Workshop is an interactive course which requires participants to:

1. Have completed the Safeguarding 1 workshop (evidence of certificate number)

2. Have good internet connection: allow you to have a video / take part in group discussion

3. Have access to email: The course resources and Zoom link will be emailed to participants in advance of the course.

4. Attend the full course: to gain accreditation, it is essential to complete the whole course

Please note: Participants must be over 18. (Participants under 18 must complete a Parental Consent Form)

The online course will be delivered via Zoom, between 7pm -10pm.

Certificates of completion will be issued by post and participant details are subsequently registered with Sport Ireland's National Database.
