Teachers/Instructors can book up to twenty four (24) attendees into a session but must indicate total quantity of tickets required for all students and teachers/instructors. All group based bookings for school/FET Institutes will be verified by telephone. Students bookings themselves into this event must be booked individually (max of 1 student attendee per order).

Event Details

On Wednesday 23rd of October 2019, a series of events will take place at the LIT Clonmel Digital Campus related to the Game Art/Design, Animation, Creative Media & Visual Effects Industry. 5th & 6th year secondary level and FET/QQI students and teachers are invited to attend talks, displays, demonstrations and question & answer sessions. Speakers at this event will include experts that have worked with leading Creative Media, Digital Animation, Visual Effects, Game Art/Design, VR and Technology companies both in Ireland and internationally. 

Secondary & FETA students/teachers can attend the sessions starting at 10am or 1pm. Current LIT students can attend the 4pm - 6pm session.

Speakers on the day include:

  • Simon Brown has worked with leading film studios including Paramount, Universal and Pinewood and is credited as Senior VFX Artist on Avatar, Matrix Revolutions, Transformers II & Star Wars III - https://simonbrownvfx.
  • Fiona Curran is the Art Team Manager at Storytoys/Touch PressStoryToys/Touchpress is a multi-award winning developer and publisher of apps and games. 
  • Vita Medelyte is a 2018 graduate of Digital Animation Production at LIT Clonmel. On graduating, Vita commenced her career on the Screen Scene VFX graduate programme and has subesquently worked on Game of Thrones 8, Captain Marvel & The Irishman.
  • Kirsty O'Donnell is a 2017 graduate of Digital Animation Production at LIT Clonmel. On graduating, Kirsty joined Immersive VR Education in Waterford as a Junior Animator. Since this time, Kirsty has worked on a number of Virtual Reality Projects include the award winning Titanic VR.
  • Emmet O'Neill is the Chief Executive Officer for Touch Press - A multi-award winning developer and publisher of apps and games. Emmet is responsible for all aspects of product, from concept through to release and commercialisation. In Touch Press he has produced apps for many leading entertainment companies including Eric Carle, Saban, Warner Bros/DC Comics, Sesame Workshop, Dick Bruna, Nickelodeon and Disney.

The Center for Digital Arts in based on the Clonmel Campus of the Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD), which is a School within Limerick Institute of Technology. The Center for Digital Arts runs Degree programmes in Digital Animation Production, Creative Media & Design and Game Art & Design.
