Description

GDPR (The General Data Protection Regulation) significantly changes data protection law in Europe, strengthening the rights of individuals and increasing the obligations on organisations.

If your organisation is based in the EU or has access to the personal data of customers, employees or any other individuals who are in the EU, it must comply with this new regulation (coming into force in May).

Get the facts, not just the headlines

You need to comply with GDPR. But it’s difficult to to see the wood for the trees.

You want to know in layman’s terms the most important elements of GDPR (the problem) and how you can start to become compliant (the solution).

This training session will cut through the complexity of GDPR to deliver clear and concise guidance for small businesses.

It will enable you to make informed decisions, and to begin making pragmatic changes in your business.

Objective

The training will ensure:

  • You reduce the risk of misinterpreting the regulatory requirements and become compliant more quickly

  • You have firm knowledge of GDPR and associated obligations as you process the personal data of EU citizens (e.g. employees, customers, prospects) so you can begin the journey to GDPR compliance

  • You have an informed and realistic level of understanding of GDPR so you can consider the impact on you

  • You have a pragmatic way to become compliant without losing your sanity.

This training is not provided by legal advisors. The trainer does not offer legally binding advice. But if you are a business that does not know where to start with GDPR, you don't need legal advice right now - You need practical guidance.

How?

Through discussion and live examples, we will:

  • Bring you to an informed level of understanding of GDPR

  • Provide a realistic sense of how the regulation could impact you

  • Empower you to begin making simple and meaningful changes on the path to compliance

You will also receive a bound copy of the training material for your own future reference.

Duration

Approximately 3.5 hours.

Outcome

After the training session, you will have certainty so you can get started on the right path.
