Pearse Ryan, partner at Arthur Cox solicitors, will provide an overview of the legal requirements of GDPR and highlight the steps that Irish companies should be taking in order to avoid significant fines. Pearse specialises in areas of information technology including cyber-security, computer security/fraud, e-commerce and intellectual property, making him ideally placed to provide an overview of the legal aspects of the incoming legislation.

Steve Mellings, founder and CEO of ADISA (the Asset Disposal and Information Security Alliance), will give a presentation to help companies understand their relationship with data processors. Steve has over 15 years’ experience in asset retirement working with industry, global manufacturers and personally helping to write and implement asset disposal policies for some of the largest organisations in the world.

Paul Hearns, editor of TechPro magazine, will MC and present the results of recent IT Disposal Practices survey. Coming from a development and security background, Paul has broad experience of enterprise IT and will also host the event.

AMI will also launch a whitepaper highlighting the results of the survey and all event attendees will receive a copy. Event attendees will have the opportunity to network with senior IT decision-makers and GDPR experts, and gain valuable insights into how to prepare for the coming regulation.

Refreshments provided.
