Gender initiatives in STEM education & communication - are they working?

Science Gallery Dublin presents this seminar which aims to critically interrogate multiple approaches to the issue of gender inclusivity in STEM communication. This spans a range of contexts: formal and non-formal educational content; the uptake of STEM subjects in second and third level education, and the representation of women in academia and in the professional STEM sectors. Through a range of talks and interactive workshop sessions, participants will examine the merits of various approaches, the opportunites for synergies among groups, and work together to develop a set of guidelines to collectively improve gender inclusivity in STEM education and communication in Ireland.
