Morning Session- The 8th Symposium on Capital Markets and Fintech

DCU Business School is part of the European Capital Markets Cooperative Research Centre, a foundation to promote and facilitate capital markets research amongst research institutions and industry. As part of this engagement, DCU Business School has been running a series of Quarterly Symposia on Capital Markets and Fintech to foster collaboration between the Irish financial services industry and academia, and to explore the potential impacts of technology innovation on businesses.

The Eight DCU Quarterly Symposium will specifically focus on regulatory technology (RegTech). RegTech is an emerging field within the financial services industry that utilises information technology to enhance regulatory compliance and processes. With increasing levels of regulation and a greater focus on data and reporting across the financial sector, there are a growing number of challenges around understanding, implementing and embedding new regulatory requirements as well as understanding and managing these risks.

The 8th Symposium will bring together leading experts from both industry and academia to discuss how organisations can manage their compliance risks and extract value from RegTech investments. The event will take place between 09:00 - 14:00 in DCU Business School (Room Q301/302).
