All Saints. Take That. Destiny's Child. Westlife. En Vogue. Backstreet Boys. Eternal. Could a Sunday night get sillier?
Join us on Sunday the 26th of November when we'll be roaring our heads off to some of the finest Girl and Boy Bands in pop history. Prizes will be awarded to the best worst singers. Tickets are €8 online and will be €10 on the door on the night.
Cure the November blues with a caterwauling session at gas craic capacity, and help us raise funds and awareness for The Hope Foundation while you're at it. We are donating 20% of our proceeds to The Hope Foundation (HOPE) who are dedicated to promoting the protection of street and slum children primarily in Kolkata, and the most underprivileged in India, to promote immediate and lasting change in their lives.
HOPE was established in 1999, to provide protection and safety to 20 girls in Kolkata, who were forced to survive on the streets, alone and vulnerable asyoung teenagers. Witnessing the abject poverty and violation of human rights faced by such girls inspired HOPE’s active and voluntary founder Maureen Forrest to establish the organisation. Since their inception, over 2.7 million individuals across Kolkata now have access to healthcare services through HOPE interventions in 35 slum communities. Over 42,000 children have received educational support, many of which are first generation-learners. 8,147 children have been protected from abuse and neglect. 7,023 youth and young women have engaged in HOPE’s skill enhancement and empowerment programme.
The Sing Along Social is a zero-commitment choir designed for people who can't really sing. You don't need to know the words and you don't need to practice. It's about caterwauling along to your favourite songs in the company of friends and strangers.
