Event description
A Charity Golf Day on the Dingle Links to support the restoration works planned for St James' Church, home to the Other Voices TV series

About this event

The Friends of St James' Dingle look forward to welcoming you to Ceann Sibéal Dingle Links Golf Club on Friday April 29, 2022 for a Golf Classic in support of our restoration project. You'll get the opportunity to play a scenic 18 hole links course on the beautiful Dingle Peninsula, the most south-westerly golf course in Europe. The course is smartly laid out with holes routed in every direction and is a strong test for any golfer.

The format is a team of 4 Stableford competition with 2 best scores to count on each hole. Max handicaps are: Men 20, Ladies 36

Toyota has sponsored a car for the Hole in One and there will be a variety of other great individual prizes, including Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin. We'll also have a draw. What better way to start your May bank holiday weekend and Féile na Bealtaine!

Kay Woods is your contact to register your team, match you up with a golfing partner and book your time.

Organiser Friends of St James, Dingle

Organiser of Golf Classic on the Ceann Sibéal Dingle Links course for St James' Dingle

We are a voluntary organisation founded in January 2019 whose aims are:

1) to protect and preserve the historic church and churchyard of St James in Dingle

and

2) to enhance and secure the use of this listed building as a shared spiritual and cultural space and also a community resource for both locals and visitors.

St. James' Church, Dingle is of historical significance through its Spanish patronage in the medieval period and its associations with the pilgrimage routes of St James to Santiago de Compostela.

The restoration project will cost upwards of €600,000 and we very much appreciate all donations. Full details of our project plans and secure donation instructions may be found on our website www.stjamesdingle.com
