Event Details

Carmichael Training & Consultancy creates learning environments nationwide in which nonprofit organisations identify new ways to make the best use of their resources to become more effective and impactful at what they do.

Volunteer Ireland and the network of Volunteer Centre work to promote, celebrate and support volunteering across Ireland. Good charity governance is of huge relevance to us, since all 50,000+ charity trustees across Ireland are volunteers.

Cork Volunteer Centre along with UCC Civic & Community Engagement Department, Volunteer Ireland and Carmichael are proud to present a series of short webinars for community, voluntary and charitable organisations, relevant to the charities regulator governance code.

This webinar looks at the Charities Governance Code principle 5: Working effectively, and principle 6: Being accountable and transparent.

  • Understand the importance of trustees working as a team

  • Ensure your board meetings are effective

  • Be able to stand over what you do and how you do it

  • Understand your stakeholders and how to engage with them

Andrew Madden, Carmichael Centre Training and E-Learning Officer, has a long history of working with community, voluntary and nonprofit organisations for many years.
