We are delighted to invite our community back to the Grand Rising space !

As this time of year is about slowing down like the energy of winter, going inside, being cosy and leaning into rest and community we wish to create a space that will give you just that.

This year we are collaborating with Collective Cork Xmas partparty for the studio and their students.

- Shared motion -

You are welcome to join, be entertained by Cork's dance community and be part of the entertainment !Indeed, not only the dancers, but each person who is occupying this space as a co creative gathering, we will have some improv, a led practice to connect us together through movement in the space, some free dancing !

- Performances -

Performances are the opportunity for dancers and also for students to show their new creations and the accomplishment of a year of learning.

Note : If you wish to perform, make sure to get a performer ticket. We will reach out to you for further information and details.

- Swap Shop -

Let's combat consumerism and capitalism at this poignant time of year.

We want to inspire you to take some time to look at the material things that you own. Are there things you don't use that are really nice? You plan to use but never get to them? How long has that been? If it's been a year you can probably take that as a note to self, you may not ever get to it using it. One person's trash is another person's treasure 😊

So, we ask you to look through your things, clothes, bags, coats, scarfs, hats, jewellery, shoes etc.

1 - are they in good condition? If ✅ then bag them up for the event.

2 - are they clean? If ✅ then bag them up for this event.

3 - are you ready to part with these things and create some space in your physical world? If ✅ then bag them up and bring them along.

Max 10 items per person.
Each person will get a token per item they bring and these tokens can be used to swap for things or if you wish you can share your tokens with some people who may not have tokens. Anything that hasn't been taken will be shared at the end of the night or bagged up and brought to a charity shop the following Monday!

The aim of this event is to expand our community, combat consumerism, and have fun 😊 ! It's the most spiritual thing you can do right ✨️
