Wed 26 April 2017, 11:00 – 14:00 IST
The Development of a Green Gas Certification Scheme for Ireland
The International Energy Research Centre, in partnership with the the Science Foundation Ireland MaREI Centre for Marine and Renewable Energy, the Renewable Gas Forum Ireland (RGFI) and Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) invite you to attend the Green Gas Certification stakeholder workshop, to be held at the Radisson Blu, Golden Lane, Dublin on the 26th April from 11am to 2pm.
The project aims to determine potential emissions savings from renewable gas production systems and to stimulate the green gas industry in Ireland. The purpose of this event is to disseminate information to key government agencies and to seek engagement.
Presentations at the event will include an overview of biogas, its importance and potential for Irish Industry, an existing biogas certification system from Germany and an overview of the green gas project, including stakeholder engagement. These will be followed by a short working session for your feedback.
By attending this event we hope that you can provide initial inputs and requirements from your agency’s perspective, which will contribute to the design of the scheme. A full consultation workshop is planned 6-8 months from the start date to present the draft design and seek further input.
