About this event
Bike Week is a celebration and promotion of the benefits of cycling. This year, Bike Week will kick off on Saturday 14th May and will end on Sunday 22nd May.
A variety of events both on the ground and online will be held throughout Ireland.
As part of Bike Week 2022, Kerry Recreation & Sports Partnership in conjunction with Killorglin Cycling Club are hosting a group cycle event for women in Killorglin on Sunday 15th of May. The central aim of the event is to create awareness of the benefits of cycling and give those who don't currently cycle as part of a group, the opportunity to meet new people and exercise in a fun and social way.
This cycle event is aimed at beginner to intermediate female cyclists over the age of 18 years. Allow time for a coffee at the Cromane Boathouse cafe.
What to bring:
Note: all participants will need to bring their own:
- Bicycle
- Helmet
- Drink
- Working rear light
- Money for coffee if desired.

● Meet and assemble at Jacks Bakery @ 9:30 am
● Route name: Killorglin - Caragh Lake - Cromane - Killorglin (see route here https://www.komoot.com/tour/449961041)
● Route description: Mostly flat or rolling hills with beautiful views of both Caragh Lake and Dingle Bay
● Ride duration: 1 hour 30 mins approx (not including a rest stop in Cromane)
● Route distance: 27km approx
● Depart at Jacks Bakery @9:30 am
● Cost: €5
