About this event
Join us for a fireside chat featuring the voices of local remote workers as they tell their stories, share their experiences, and explore the impact of remote work on the city.
There will be free finger food available as well as a free drink for everyone who registers for the event
Leon Weavers, Head of IT at Flipdish, will be in the hot seat to share what it's like to work at Flipdish, discussing the challenges and perks of a remote workplace. Flipdish specialises in online food ordering and is one of Ireland's newest unicorn companies (worth $1bn+).
People in the audience will be welcome to contribute to the conversation with questions and anecdotes. The event will be facilitated by Grow Remote Community Manager, Dónal Kearney.
This event is organised by local remote workers and members of Grow Remote, a non-profit social enterprise using remote employment as a tool for community development.
It is part of a nationwide programme of Grow Remote events taking place across the island on Culture Night in partnership with We Act, the national campaign for charities and communities groups in Ireland.
