Description
What a better way to wind down from the EuroSTAR Conference than a trip to Ireland’s top visitor attraction – The Home of Guinness!
Meet at the CCD at 4pm on Thursday and join us on a historic and full filled tour of St James Gate where Arthur Guinness started brewing his ales as far back as 1759.
The adventure begins the moment you walk through the door and into the building’s giant, pint-shaped heart of glass. Housed in an old fermentation plant, the seven-storey visitor experience tells the story of Ireland's iconic drink. As you wander through Guinness Storehouse, you’ll discover what goes into making the “Black Stuff” – the ingredients, the process, the passion.
Your guided tour also includes access to the Guinness Academy where you can learn the special craft involved in pouring the Perfect Pint of Guinness. You will receive private tuition from our expertly trained staff who will teach the six steps involved in crafting the perfect pint. Each participant will be able to savour the pint they have just poured themselves and will be presented with a personalised certificate of merit as a souvenir!
The tour ends in Gravity Bar, which is the highest bar in Dublin and it stands 44 meters high. Here you will receive a complimentary pint of Guinness while relaxing and enjoying and enjoying spectacular views over Dublin.
There will also be time to visit the GUINNESS® Flagship Retail Store packed with unique and exclusive merchandise and memorabilia.
