Event description

Description

The ‘Science with and for Society’ (SwafS) programme (worth 462,2 M€, 2014-2020) is instrumental in addressing the European societal challenges tackled by Horizon 2020, building capacities and developing innovative ways of connecting science to society. It helps build effective cooperation between science and society, recruit new talent for science and pair scientific excellence with social awareness and responsibility.

As part of its continuing measures to promote the final EU H2020 Work Programme (2018-2020) DCU Research and Innovation Support have invited the SwafS National Contact Point (NCP), Margie McCarthy of the Science Foundation Ireland to give an information session on the available funding opportunities in this area.

There is also an opportunity to arrange one-to-one sessions with the NCP. These meetings are invaluable opportunities to discuss specific applications, calls and queries and gain valuable insights into how to position yourself to secure an award. Please contact Katya McDonagh ecaterina.mcdonagh@dcu.ie to reserve a one-to-one meeting.

The info session will take place on the 23rd of January, 2-3 pm (one-to-one sessions 3-4 pm), Seminar Room, Top Floor, Invent Building, DCU Glasnevin Campus.

We hope to see you at the session. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us at research@dcu.ie
