Event description
Beginner friendly Hatha Yoga & Breathwork

About this event

  • Hatha is a classical style of Yoga, where we practise mostly standing poses but also a few seated/supine ones. In Hatha flow we transition from one pose to the other but without doing a Sun salutation each time (Vinyasa).
  • My style of teaching is grounded, inclusive and mindful. Which means that I focus a lot on alignment and breath, I encourage you to find your pace and to always listen to your body.
  • This practice will be slow and mindful with options for modifications where possible and opportunity for rest if needed.
  • These classes are donation based with a suggested donation of €9 (but please feel free to donate what you can afford at the moment).
  • Booking closes at 17.30 and by 17.45 you will receive an email with the Zoom link.
  • You will need a Yoga mat (or any kind of mat for the time being) and if possible a Couch cushion.

We will begin in Savasana, taking a moment to connect all our layers of self and to ground into Mother Earth.

We will do some deep, slow, belly breaths and then we will find a balanced rhythm of inhales and exhales to guide our movements.

From a supine position we will begin awakening all the joints and warm up the body.

We will then move through all fours, with several stretches there which will bring us eventually to stand up.

Once standing we will practice some modified sun salutations, suitable to beginners and a few standing poses, including some hip openers.

Finally we will come back down to practice a couple of seated poses and wind up in Savasana (corpse pose) once again for a final release and relaxation.

At the end of class I will pick an Oracle card for the group.

Take care & Namaste
