South Dublin County Sports Partnership has teamed up with Technological University Dublin, Tallaght Campus to deliver a series of Health and Wellbeing Seminars.

The third seminar , Introduction to Performance Analysis, is being delivered by Shane Mangan,a Sports Science Lecturer in TU Dublin .

Performance Analysis (PA) is increasingly being used in sport, however for many involved in sport this is a new enough area which is evolving and developing at a rapid rate. The purpose of the presentation is to provide players, coaches, managers, administrators and all those involved in sport with a guide for what good practice is in relation to the application of PA, how PA can be beneficial and where to look for good information.

The presentation will be delivered by Shane Mangan. Shane is a sport scientist and lecturer in TU Dublin. He is one of the leading researchers in Gaelic sports with a PhD in the area of technical and running performance in Gaelic football. Shane has worked with a number of inter county and club teams across Gaelic football, hurling, ladies Gaelic football and camogie. Shane has also worked as a performance analyst with Paralympics Ireland at international competitions. Currently based in Technological University Dublin, he lectures on the Sport Science and Health and Sport Studies courses.

The seminar will start at 7.00pm sharp.
