About this Event

11:00 - Siel Bleu Exercise Class; Siel Bleu Ireland is the first specific effort to promote exercise among older adults and patient groups in Ireland, with the aim of improving overall wellbeing. We design our programmes with a preventive approach that benefits all adults, at any age, and at any stage of their lives.

11:30 - Des O'Neill, Consultant physician in geriatric and stroke medicine and Professor in Medical Gerontology, Tallaght Hospital and Trinity College Dublin - ‘Keeping Well from Mid Life to Later Life’ Apart from exercise, diet and lifestyle, a key element of maintaining health ageing is reducing social inequality, and political engagement of all of us is needed to ensure that this happens. Other areas of interest include dental care, vaccinations, and developing social pastimes and volunteering earlier in life.
