This seminar will explore what healthy ageing looks like for older people in developing countries, particularly the challenges and opportunities going forward in an era of global ageing populations. It will examine this in the context of Sustainable Development Goal 3 which aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well being for all, at all ages.
It will also look at the measurement of health and well being of older people in the Global South as well as give a practitioner perspective from Tanzania.
It is for development practitioners, policy makers, academics, students and any other indivduals interested in the topic.
