Heritage Week Walk at Hazelwood

Join this walk led by Coillte Nature and the Hazelwood Heritage Society to learn about the natural and built heritage of Hazelwood. The precious alluvial woodland habitat to the north of the woodland is of European importance and has been the focus of biodiversity restoration works in recent years. These natural habitat and biodiversity works will be hightlighted as part of the walk. Hazelwood formed part of the Wynne Estate and Hazelwood House was built in 1724, and the history of this estate will be brought to life by members of the Hazelwood Heritage Society. We expect this to be a relaxed and interactive event, please wear hiking boots or wellies and bring appropriate outdoor clothing.
