Join art historian William Gallagher as he presents a lecture considering historic and contemporary painting, Saturday 7th March 2020 at 1pm

Coinciding along with Highlanes Gallery's current exhibition, Two Painters: Kathy Tynan and Andrew Vickery, art historian, William Gallagher presents a deeply engaging lecture considering historic and contemporary painting.

This lecture is free to attend however booking is mandatory due to limited seating.

ABOUT

William Gallagher is an independent lecturer in art and art history. He has curated the Glebe House and Gallery (The Derek Hill Collection) in Donegal, taught at the Crawford College of Art in Cork, Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin and runs programmes at the Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin.

He was also previously Visual Arts Officer at University College Cork, the author of The National Self-Portrait Collection Vol.2 (Limerick University), contributed to the recent Royal Irish Academy volume on Irish Sculpture 1600-2000, and written for Janet Mullarney's exhibition catalogue, My Mind's i, produced by Highlanes Gallery in 2015.
