A six week activity programme for mums.

About this event

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown are delighted to partner up with DLR Leisure to create this Free 6 week programme for mums.

Are you a busy mum that wants to get healthy but cant find the time or energy? Well this is the programme for you then!

Over this 6 week programme we will not only get you more active but we will also show you ways to build activity into your busy lifestyle. We often launch into an exercise regime only for it to tire us out even more. The key to this programme is that it is developed to revitalise and reenergise using different activities for short manageable periods.

The programme includes:

  1. Morning Yoga each Monday, Wednesday & Friday @ 6.45am - 7.15am.
  2. Morning Pilates each Tuesday & Thursday mornings @ 6.45am - 7.15am.
  3. HITT Class each Tuesday & Thursday @ 6.00pm - 6.30pm
  4. Weekend walk/jog 30/45 mins

As you can see from the programme above, yoga/ pilates take place each morning at 6.45am until 7.15am sharp! This early start will still allow participants to prepare for the day ahead. We recommend that you attend at least 3 morning classes a week but preferably all 5.

How will it work?

Once registered through Eventbrite you will be emailed a zoom link for each class which you can use each week. We will also email you all the information you will need to take part. You will also be asked if you would like to be included in a WhatsApp Group (optional) where we can correspond and encourage each other.

What are the benefits?

There are plenty of benefits from exercising. For starters, it’s an easy way of improving your physical health and mental well-being. Exercising regularly can be a great stress reliever and has even been shown to help combat depression and energise the body.

This programme will help improve your strength, fitness and energy levels over the 6 weeks.
