A monthly webinar series exploring hot topics in dementia research from basic science, clinical and social research perspectives.

About this event

Dementia Research Network Ireland are hosting free monthly webinars on hot topics in dementia research. These webinars will provide an opportunity to hear from those working in basic science, clinical and social research as well as from people living with dementia and their families. Each one-hour webinar will include a Q&A with the audience.

Target Audience: Researchers, clinicians, health & social care practitioners, the public including people living with dementia/ neurodegeneration and their families.

Webinar 4: Hearing & Vision Impairment in Dementia (Monday 24th January 2022 11-12pm)

In this webinar, we will discuss :

  • Hearing and vision impairment in dementia: Insights from the SENSE-Cog Project
  • International Guidelines on Management of Hearing and Vision Impairment in People with Dementia
  • Professionals' views of managing hearing and vision impairment in a memory clinic
  • Perspectives of a person living with dementia & hearing loss and their care partner
  • Sensory-Cognitive health in nursing homes: the SENSE-Cog CARE Project
