Join psychotherapist Stella O'Malley as she explores ways in which we can help our young adults manage anxieties in Covid times and beyond.

About this event

The impact of Covid on teenagers and young adults has often been overlooked and yet life has been very challenging for this cohort. This talk will focus on strategies that can help young people to manage their anxieties and emotions.

Stella O’Malley is a psychotherapist, bestselling author, and public speaker. Stella is a regular contributor to the Irish media. Her first book, Cotton Wool Kids, was released in 2015 while Bully-Proof Kids was released in 2017. Stella’s latest book Fragile, was released in 2019 and focuses on overcoming anxiety and stress. In 2018 Stella was the presenter of the documentary Trans - Kids: It’s Time To Talk broadcast on Channel 4. The Jungian analyst, Lisa Marchiano, and Stella launched Secrets of the Motherworld in 2019, offering thoughtful exploration of the most intimate aspects of motherhood. In 2020, Stella launched another podcast, this time with the psychotherapist, Sasha Ayad and this podcast, Gender: A Wider Lens, explores the concept of gender from a psychological depth perspective.

Stella holds a B.A. in Counselling and Psychotherapy, a M.A. in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and is studying for a PhD in Social Work.
