How to Achieve Optimal Performance at Work and at Home with Joe O'Connor
Fitness and Nutrition Consultant Joe O’Connor will discuss how exercise, nutrition and lifestyle habits can improve a working professional's output at work and at home as guest speaker at the first Network Ireland Limerick event of the year.
Currently preparing the Irish Eventing Team for the Tokyo Olympics this summer, he will also share his top tips on creating the right mindset for achieving your goals for the year ahead.
He is probably best known around Limerick for his involvement with the Limerick hurlers from 2016-2019 or his role on RTE’s Ireland's Fittest Families for the first five seasons. Prior to this, he worked with Clare, Waterford and Kerry GAA while on their way to winning All Ireland and Munster Championships. As he did for the 2016 Rio Olympics, Joe is currently working with a variety of elite athletes as they prepare for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
This is an ideal event to kick-start the New Year as it will help with focusing the mind, setting realistic goals and creating healthy habits to set you up for success.
More about Joe O’Connor
Finding the balance between theory and practice is an ongoing challenge. When discussing performance, O’Connor draws on 23 years of industry experience and 15 years within an academic setting as a lecturer in exercise physiology. Research interests focus on the minimal effective dose and in particular how exercise, nutrition and lifestyle habits can improve a person’s cognitive output. In response, he founded CoachPACT to help corporate athletes achieve optimal performance and he also runs his training club, Nisus Fitness.
