How to Host a Conference
You already know that a conference is an opportunity to highlight your discipline, enhance your reputation, promote your work and earn recognition from your peers.
It’s a chance to create networking opportunities, foster research partnerships, secure funding and establish international links in your specialist area.
It increases the profile of your department and puts DCU on the global academic map. It attracts new visitors to Ireland, providing amuch-needed boost for the local, regional and national economy.
What you might not know is that the Conference Team on campus can organise every aspect of your conference, including advice on support. Please come along and join us on how you can use these services, followed by some hot breakfast, festive treats and refreshments. You’ll have achance to meet members of the Conference Team and talk to peers who have successfully hosted conferences.
You can call in anytime between 8.00 - 11.00 am.
Venue: The Gallery (2nd Floor), The Helix.
You are invited to join us for breakfast and a taste of what hosting a conference could do for your department.
