Hurling Workshop-Skill Acquisition - Innovative Practice

Skill Acquisition helps coaches design innovative practice environments to help players learn and adapt their skills for competition. In addition, skill acquisition develops how coaches communicate with players to improve the learning process, empowering them to acquire their own understanding of the task and seek individual solutions to problems. This workshop will explore the following:
How to structure the training environment to help an athlete learn a new skill as quickly as possible;
How to promote learning of technical changes that will stand up under the pressure of competition;
How effective instruction and feedback can be used to promote athlete development.
The role of vision and visual information in player performance.
How technology can be used to improve decision making performance;
Entry Requirements: Course candidates must be 18 years or over.
