Hybride Remote - Roadmap Culture // Lior Kanfi
The world post COVID19 is going to be different.
Organizations are already adapting to the new reality, and it seems that Hybrid Remote is here to stay. So how do you keep your teams updated and motivated? How do you prevent burnout?
At Tikal, we've actually been working in a hybrid remote setting for quite a while. Our developers are out there, working with our clients, but Tikal is still their Homebase. We find that in order to maintain the delicate balance between the two, we need to keep group routines and personal development roadmaps. These two components are the beating heart of our activity. They help keep our experts connected to the organization and motivated.
In my talk, I’m going to present how we plan and execute the roadmap culture at Tikal and the benefits we see in this process.
Asynchronous Development for Hybrid Remote Teams // Ori Keren
The abrupt rise of work-from-home in 2020 is one of the biggest changes the software development community has ever experienced. As big as the Agile and DevOps movements.
Agile helped us eliminate slow, waterfall development and validation cycles. DevOps helped us close the delivery gap. And the global pandemic of 2020 forced our teams to deliver value and to stay connected to business and customers while in different locations at different times.
We call this new way of working Asynchronous Development. Async Dev builds on the innovations from Agile and DevOps and adds new ideas and practices to help make hybrid remote dev teams successful in 2020.
In this talk, which is based on 150+ conversations I’ve had with dev leaders since March, I share:
- Our current working definition of Async Dev
- The ups and downs the LinearB team had, moving to hybrid remote
- The changes we’ve made to our ceremonies and personal interactions
- The metrics we use to measure our development process
- The signals we look for to ensure the health of our people
