Event Details

India Day in Ireland started in 2015 since it has grown into a largest Irish-Indian celebration in Ireland. India Day celebration plays an important role in bringing all Indian communities together and also plays a significant role in bringing the Irish and Indian community at one place to experience Indian Culture, Heritage, Music, Art & Craft, Meditation along with Indian & Continental Cuisine with exciting entertainment. It was attended by thousands of people in 2015, 2016& 2017 with a significant growth expected in 2018.

We are involved since the conceptualization of the India Day in Ireland and achieved three very successful India Day with the support of the Farmleigh, Office of the Public Works, An Garda Síochána and Embassy of India and huge support from the members of the Indian community and our corporate sponsors in Ireland.

Again, we would like to invite all Irish-Indian communities in Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the United Kingdom to experience 4th INDIA DAY celebration to enjoy a family fun day in beautiful Farmleigh gardens with Colorful Indian Folk, Classical & Bollywood dances, Food, Fashion Show, Concert and Shopping of Indian Ethnic Dresses and Jewelry will be the highlights in the 4th India Day in Ireland.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No minimum age requirement but it is always advisable to carry your proof of identification.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Farmleigh is accessed through the Phoenix Park. When entering the park at Parkgate street ( main entrance near Heuston Station ) drive up along the main avenue. Go straight through the first two roundabouts, and take a left at the third roundabout (near Castleknock end of park). After taking a left at the third roundabout, take the first right (50 yards from roundabout). Farmleigh is at the end of this road.

If entering the Phoenix Park through the Castleknock gate, take a right at the first roundabout, and then take your first right again (after 50 yards). Farmleigh is at the end of this road.

If travelling via the M50, take the N3 exit (exit 6) and follow the lane for the city centre. Once you are clear of the exit, you will find yourself on the Navan road heading eastbound for the town. Drive down this road, under the flyover and turn right at the roundabout. After taking a right turn at the roundabout, drive for 50 yards until you see the Ashtown Gate of the Phoenix Park in front of you. The road naturally veers to the right, but you want to slow down and drive straight off the main road, through the gates. Use caution here, as cars can converge from 4 directions!

Farmleigh co-ordinates: 53.365925 , -6.352299

Take the number 37 bus from Baggott Street ( via Suffolk Street and the Quays ) and get off at the Castleknock Gate. Enter the Phoenix Park and take the narrow pedestrian pathway through the field to your immediate right. Walk down this path until you reach a road. Turn right and you should see the gates of Farmleigh a short distance away. Farmleigh is a fifteen-minute walk from the Castleknock Gate.

There is a free car, coach, and motorcycle parking on site. Please note that there is a five-minute (approx.) walk from the car park to the venue.
