Event description
The Sport and Human Performance Series of Lectures presents an evening of interest to Rowers, Rowing Coaches, Physios and S& C coaches.

About this Event

Dr. Fiona Wilson is a chartered physiotherapist with over 30 years of postgraduate experience. She is an associate professor and head of the Discipline of Physiotherapy in Trinity College Dublin.

Fiona’s presentation is titled: “Rowing low back pain: key approaches to prevention and management”

Dr. Frank Nugent is a strength and conditioning (S&C) coach and assistant lecturer in sports science at the University of Limerick since 2018. Frank is accredited as an S&C coach through both the Sport Ireland Institute and United Kingdom Strength and Conditioning Association.

Frank’s presentation is titled: “Strength and Conditioning for Competitive Rowers”

Frank will also present a short case study in collaboration with Fiona. The presentation is titled: “Low Back Pain Rehabilitation in a Female International Rower”
