About this event

Are you a farmer looking to adopt more sustainable and innovate ways of farming? Are you looking for the information and resources to do so, but find it hard to access the right information? We have the perfect event for you!

Held as a virtual, 3.5-hour event, our event promises to be an engaging and informative conference. It will feature various themes relevant to sustainable and innovative ways of farming; something which is on everybody's minds at the moment. We will be talking resilience, recovery, sustainability, innovation, and we will hear from those in the sector on the highs and lows of adapting to new ways of farming.

The event welcomes all those involved in the agricultural sector in Ireland and abroad. It promises to be an interactive and informative morning. All participants will have the opportunity to voice their concerns with industry experts, and with other farmers. It will allow for networking to take place. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the Land Mobility project, and how its outputs will help landowners, farmers, authorities and advisors in the area of land mobility services, land management partnerships and farm take-over brokerage. The project aims to ensure land in Europe is kept as much as possible in sustainable ownership and is not subject to land abandonment, and so that land becomes a tool for empowerment and entrepreneurship for Europeans rather than an obstacle to it.

The themes which will be discussed throughout the event include: 1) Adapting to new ways of farming

2) Environmental management of the farm

3) Grants and supports available for making the move to sustainable ways of farming

Each theme will have its own section in the event, in which relevant speakers will provide information, support and guidance. We will hear from those working in the agricultural industry, discussing their experiences of being a farmer and discussing their experiences, challenges, how they used Land Mobility and forms of digital skills to open up their opportunities. We will hear from industry experts who will assist participants in how to adapt to new ways of farming, and point them in the direction of information and resources to do so.

The event is open to all those involved or interested in the agricultural sector in Ireland, and those who wish to contribute towards the adoption of more sustainable and innovative farming practices in Ireland. Whilst we can’t come together and discuss these important issues in our usual way, the virtual nature of the event allows us to have more attendees than ever before!

The event will be a local event, organised for an Irish population. Those who attend are guaranteed to receive up to date and relevant information specific to the Irish population.

  • What to expect: An interactive morning with the chance to hear from industry experts who will provide support and guidance
  • A unique opportunity to hear from fellow farmers, who will give an insight into their experiences
  • Gain knowledge on how the Land Mobility project will support landowners, farmers, authorities and advisors in the area of land mobility services, land management partnerships and farm take-over brokerage

If you are a landowner, farmer, or someone who is involved in the sector in any way and are interested in attending this event, then register now. To make this event even better; admission is free!
