10:00 - Addressing Ethics and Diversity challenges with the support of ICF Communities of Practice

Objective: At the end of this session the participant’s will know the key areas of focus of ICF Communities of Practice and key ethics and diversity challenges in each area. Discussion will allow participants to reflect on their coaching competencies in the specific area and competencies.

• Introduce the domain of the Community of Practice

• What are the key ethics and diversity challenges faced today in this domain

• How can a coach strengthen their relevant competencies.

Introduce the Communities of Practice and the role they play for the Members of ICF.

10:10 - 10:20 Supervision

Coaching Supervision is a collaborative learning practice to continually build the capacity of the coach through reflective dialogue for the benefit of both coaches and clients. This community will explore the importance of reflective practice through interactive webinars, subject matter expert presentations and community discussions.

This Community of Practice focuses on health, wellness, and medical coaching. This community caters to coaches who work to educate and support clients to cultivate positive lifestyle changes, address medical and health challenges, promote overall well-being and engages coaches who work with caregivers and healthcare professionals.

10:00 - Webinar on Team Competencies (2 CCEU)

Teams are everywhere at the moment – mostly online and connecting virtually. This highly interactive and engaging webinar lead by experts Katerina Kandeliou, Jonathan Reitz MCC and Karl Van Hoey MCC will:

  • Introduce the domains of team competencies
  • How these competencies add to the Core competencies
  • The values and beliefs behind them

There will be break out rooms with activities for participants.

18:00 - Mentoring and Supervision Panel Discussion with Ireland-based ICF Mentors and Supervisors

What is the difference between Mentoring and Supervision?

What competencies are needed to develop in these roles?

10:30 - Coaching Women to Elevate their career in Covid times

Sinead Sharkey-Steenson is the Founder and Director of Generation Women and is an experienced Career and Leadership Coach, Facilitator, and Motivational Speaker.

Women already have a more challenging time when it comes to careers, we all know about the glass ceiling, and some may know about the broken rung on the career ladder to management. But Covid has set women's careers back by 10 years.

Sinead will share some of the ways she approaches coaching women to help them navigate their career in this most challenging of times

17:00 - Top tips when starting a Coaching Practice

Many individuals complete Coach Training every year in the hope of starting a successful coaching practice. However, moving from employee to being a sole trader or a one-person company, can be a struggle. Award-Winning Career Coach Valerie O'Hanlon of Clarence Consulting will deliver this session.

In Top Tips to Starting a Coaching Practice, Valerie will guide you through the first steps of starting out on your own. Focusing on

  • the basic first steps,
  • defining your niche, and
  • managing yourself

Valerie will give a taster of how to prepare before you get going, so you can find your way to succeed in the ever-growing coaching industry.

Thursday

10:00 – Coaching for Purpose

Coaching for purpose is a powerful way of helping a coaching client focus on what deeply motivates them and brings meaning to everything they want to accomplish. Having a clear purpose provides a foundation on which clients can build their accomplishments and desired outcomes.

This session is delivered by Francois Coetzee ACC, an experienced NLP/HNLP trainer and coach, and an authorized trainer of SFM: Conscious Leadership with the Dilts Strategy Group.

In this session, he will focus on what purpose work is and how it can help clients learn and grow, extend awareness, and focus on the right things to achieve their ambitions.

Three learning takeaways from this session to use for yourself and to share with your clients:

  • A process for facilitating purpose
  • A daily preparation practice
  • A daily reflection practice

19:00 – Spotlight on Coaching Circles

Many coaches meet up in their regions to discuss new trends and topics, network, socialise and learn from each other. Yet, many coaches are not aware of the existence of these ‘Circles’ which is why ICF Ireland Chapter wanted to highlight them as part of International Coaching Week. During this session you will discover:

  • Where to find the contact details of Circles
  • What are the conditions to become a member?
  • What do they discuss?
  • Do they organise events where CCE’s or other CPD applies?
  • What can Circles learn from each other?
  • How to start a Circle

10:00 - The Journey Towards Coaching Mastery & The Ego and Its Impact on our Coaching with Julie Starr

Julie Starr is a familiar name to all coaches and in partnership with the Health & Social Care Leadership Centre ICF Ireland Chapter are delighted that she will present this thought provoking session. An expert and thought leader in the field of coaching her best-selling book The Coaching Manual has supported the evolution of the coaching field through simple, powerful principles and practical approaches.

Allow up to two hours as Julie’s session is split into two parts followed by a Q & A.

This lively session will help coaches to reflect upon their own practice of coaching, with an emphasis on greater personal success. There will be a distinct focus on increasing self-awareness, through conversations in pairs, Q&A plus a gentle challenge.

Come prepared to work, by reflecting in advance on the following questions:

  • How is my work as a coach going well, e.g. what am I happy with?
  • Where can my coaching practice improve, e.g. what do I want to be different going forward?
  • What one thing would I change about my coaching, if I could?
  • What do I want to get out of the session? e.g. what would make my investment of time worthwhile?
  • What might stop me, e.g. how might I sabotage myself? (consciously or unconsciously)
