UCD will join organisations across the globe in marking International Women’s Day 2018. This year’s theme is #PressForProgress.
To celebrate International Women’s Day, UCD is hosting a fire-side chat on 'Women in the Media' with a panel of national journalists and academic leaders. Join us to hear how women are shaping the media landscape, navigating the challenges of the industry, and advocating for gender equality.
Speakers in the Fitzgerald Chamber are:
- Katie Hannon, Political Correspondent, RTÉ News and Current Affairs;
- Prof. Orla Feely, Vice-President for Research, Innovation and Impact, UCD;
- Róisín Duffy, Journalist and Editor, RTÉ, Chair of Women on Air;
- Associate Prof. Emmeline Hill, School of Agriculture & Food Science, UCD, Co-Producer of the short film Bloodline: The Search for Speed
Special performance by the UCD Community Choir.
