Intervarsity Law Summit UL Law Society
Event Information
About this event
The Intervarsity Summit will be the biggest student-run legal event in Ireland and the very first of its kind. The seven
Irish Law Societies coming together for this event will be UCC, Trinity, UCD, NUIG, UL, Maynooth and DCU. The event
is being kindly sponsored and supported by 12 of Ireland’s leading law firms, the Bar Council of Ireland, and
numerous other sponsors. The Summit is a ticketed event which we hope will pass on from University to University
across Ireland well into the future. The Summit is and will always be a student-run society event. However, due to
the relevance of the Summit to the lives of faculty, we would love to invite you to attend.
The Summit will take place over three days and will feature various interactive events such as a Presentation by
Former President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, the National Moot and Mock Trial Finals, the Intervarsity Gala Ball,
various other presentations, and a panel discussion by an esteemed panel of invitees. Throughout the weekend we
will also be raising money for a chosen charity. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, students and academics have faced
an isolating year and the Intervarsity Summit is the perfect event to reunite students across the country with their
education and to reignite their interest in law and the future of the legal profession. The theme of the Summit is
“Breaking Barriers: Let the Law Unite”. Not only are we breaking the barriers that had to be placed between
students, but we are pioneering an intervarsity cooperation between University Law Societies for the first time in
Irish history.
