What is 3D printing? How does it work? How can you use it?

About this Event

This session will take you through 3D Printing from the very basics of what exactly it is, to how to send a design to a printer. Topics covered will include a brief history of 3D printing, intro to the the library 3D printers, and resources for creating a 3D model.

The seminar will be delivered by William Davis. William has worked in the Maker community for the past decade, as an entrepreneur, consultant, and marketing expert. He is the owner of a long-established Makerspace in Seattle, Washington and has worked in retail, product development, and in the rapid-prototyping industries. He enjoys woodworking, 3D printing, and photography- emerging technologies in every aspect of his creative endeavors. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and is currently an Executive MBA postgrad at NUIG.
