Event description

Description

This event will introduce professionals to the research and applications of Neurofeedback Training (NFT) and quantitative EEG in the assessment and treatment of psychological disorders. The PSI will award 3 CPD credits for this event.

This workshop will comprise:

Lecture-style information on the background and science of NFT and QEEG;

Case-based discussions, using cases from the Actualise Clinic;

Demonstration of NFT in action, and details of how it works to help clients learn to control aspects of brain function.

Neurofeedback training (NFT) is a neuroscience-based method of changing brain function, based on the principles of EEG and operant conditioning. To the extent the symptoms of a psychological disorder can be linked to problematic brain function, NFT has been shown to be an effective intervention. NFT is becoming increasingly popular in a range of clinical settings, with evidence for efficacy in a range of disorders, including ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, executive function disorders, and others.

You may wish to contact us directly on (01) 6533 155 to reserve tickets - this will avoid the €4.39 Event Brite charge for tickets.
