Introduction to our Tech Recruitment Roadshow
Mon 9 January 2017, 17:00 – 19:00 GMT
We're Taking to the Road!
Commencing in 2017, we'll be exhibiting overseas for a select number of small/medium Irish companies to help them acquire the tech talent that they require.
The list is progressive, subject to new developments, but we will be targeting trade shows, 'Meetups' and career fairs around hotspots for technology talent such as Edinburgh, Cambridge, Manchester, 'Silicon Roundabout' and flagship events such as Web Summit in Lisbon. We want to help companies get an edge in what is already a highly competitive market, so we will put our face right in front of the talent to gain insights into their skills and whether a move to Ireland may be of very real interest into them.
We know we need it to be as cost-effective as possible so we will be exhibiting under a "Love Ireland" style of branding (or similar), enabling the cost to be shared (by a maximum of ten companies - dependant on hiring plans). It'll highlight the number of benefits there are to working in the country as an overseas candidate.
How will I benefit?
Interested candidates will be able to share their CVs with companies they select directly at the event, but exclusive to companies partaking in the roadshow.
We will also be looking into the feasibility of overseeing live Skype interviews, enabling companies to speak to candidates at the events themselves.
All of us tend to surround ourselves with like-minded people, which is no less true of people working in technology. So we'll also look to create subtle ways of spreading the message to their friends and colleagues at the event itself.
These events are dynamic, so we can work you to market the video content resulting from these events under your own brand, which can be further targeted to overseas candidates.
No recruitment fees - we only charge for running the events.
The tighter the focus we can get, the more success we will receive. Which is why it is preferable to have companies that operate in similar fields on the roadshow, allowing us to target the types of candidates that we need in a highly precise fashion, however this is not obligatory. It's best suited to companies having trouble filling a specific skill-set over a long period. Our organisers have valuable experience in recruitment, promotions and events management so are especially suited to the demands of this project.
This event will cover the basis of the series of events taking place throughout the year and it will be a great opportunity to discuss whether involvement in this project could be a right fit for you. At present venues are still being considered but this will take place in Dublin City Centre at 5pm and will be running for approximately two hours.
