Event description
This research showcase highlights the latest results in Energy Systems Research emerging from the ESIPP programme.

About this Event

ESIPP is delighted to host the Energy Systems Research Symposium “Investing in Our Energy Future”. This event showcases the emerging research from the ESIPP team. The presentations will cover a range of topics from new ways of using and operating electricity and gas infrastructure, to market behaviour and an analysis of investments in technology and retrofit. The ESIPP programme uniquely brings together a multidisciplinary team to address the challenges of the energy system as we move to decarbonisation, and this symposium aims to provide a flavour of the different research activities involved.

The relevance of our research to industry stakeholders is also of critical importance, and the symposium will feature a panel session with industry experts. The theme of Investing in Our Energy Future will cover investment in infrastructure and technology, as well as investment in people and research. The challenges that lie ahead are significant and ensuring a pipeline of talented researchers will help deliver solutions to these challenges.
