Metis Labs

Metis Labs provides intelligent software which increases the performance of industrial processes. The software uses AI to improve process performance through predicting demand patterns, learning complex relationships between variables, and refining actions. The software constantly optimises process performance and continuously improves with time. Currently running pilots with global manufacturers and producers with a special interest in those processes that require exact temperature regulation, gas and liquid processes that are not easily handled and companies seeking to manage their energy consumption.

Tended

http://www.tended.co.uk

Tended are creating simple-to-use, intelligent and affordable personal safety wearables and monitoring systems. Our products are designed to alert users' friends, family and the emergency services in the event of an accident or emergency, providing them with the assurance, independence and peace of mind knowing that Tended has them covered. Tended combines patent pending wearable technology and machine learning to effectively and efficiently monitor the user’s safety. Using proprietary AI technology, we can better predict when an individual is likely to require assistance, notifying the appropriate contacts and avoiding unnecessary false positives.

Tended is in discussion with multinational manufacturers, construction firms and global insurers to support their needs in securing the safety and management of their lone and distant workers.

Smartsea

www.smartsea.io

SmartSea digitalises the maritime community by connecting the boat with the skipper and owner in order to access the big data set generated on the sea. A simple box is connected to the existing boat sensors to retrieve data and provides the sea-users with analysis and solutions to faults and risks within the boat while providing family and friends onshore with the knowledge that their loved one is safe.

Smartsea aims to support boat owners, charter companies, maintenance providers and manufacturers to improve their management and maintenance and security of their sailing and motoring activities.

Standard Access

www.standardaccess.co

Standard Access provides enterprise-level, end to end, access solutions for commercial buildings through its patented and innovative ‘sonic key’ technology.

Our original solution was developed to address the day-to-day challenges and pain points commercial landlords experience in managing physical access to their assets (properties, buildings, space, etc.). Unlike the competition, who focus primarily on the residential space, we set out to design a solution to meet commercial needs. The product has received many accolades through numerous awards it won; DCU Ryan Academy Europass. MIPIM UK Startup winner, Ulster Bank High Achievers, Munster finalist, Bank of Ireland Tech Startup of the Year 2015.

Social & Care

http://www.socialandcare.com/

Social & Care provides peace-of-mind to families and carers when looking after elderly and disabled people in their own homes, supporting independent living and increasing individual autonomy through its artificial intelligence platform. Based on activity patterns, Social&Care compares user activity with predefined patterns to detect any unusual or risky situation. Users only have to carry a device (smartphone, smartwatch or GPS tracker) and Social&Care reminds them of their activities, medications and itineraries, letting us know if they are the right place at the right time...or not. Social&Care generates carer and user information to analyze their activity, improve processes, detect new possible services and innovate business opportunities in turncreating new sources of incomes. Already with over 1000 active users and collaborations with public and private social services the company is looking to enter into new agreements across the EU and will be taking the next step to integrate their platform with smart home solutions to support assisted living.
