Irish Country House Gardens – Series Two

In advance of two exhibitions that will celebrate Irish country house gardens that are being held in the City Assembly House in September 2021, the second in a two-part series of interviews will be presented online during the summer. These interviews will feature Robert O'Byrne, curator of both exhibitions, talking with people who are passionate about Irish gardens.

Friday, August 20: In conversation with Neil Porteous, Head Gardener, Mount Stewart, Co. Down

Friday, September 10: In conversation with Catherine FitzGerald, noted garden designer and consultant, Glin Castle, Co. Limerick

All talks are pre-recorded and will be available to view for 7 days after the dates they are sent out. Booking ends 24 hours before and access details will be sent by email at 3pm on the day of release.

About the Series Narrator

Mr. Robert O’Byrne is a writer and lecturer specializing in the fine and decorative arts. The author of more than a dozen books, he is a former Vice-President of the Irish Georgian Society and a trustee of the Apollo Foundation. Mr. O’Byrne is the curator of the Irish Georgian Society’s 2021 garden exhibitions.
