The Wolf - Scapegoat of Humanity - A Mythological and Comparative Study.
Delving into the collective unconscious of the Norse and Germanic people reveals that the wolf archetype, like the serpent, is pre-eminent, multi-facetted and highly ambivalent. Its attributes range across the spectrum of human behaviour from the most sacred to the most profane, from the pinnacle of sacrifice of the self in the service of humanity to the pit of sacrifice of humanity in the service of the self.
Then milk is taken from the wolf and dematerialised through potentisation to release and reveal its curative energy, the archetypal picture held in the carrier medium bears not only the impress of all that natural history has written there, but also the painful legacy of everything the wolf has suffered at the hands of humankind, and, most importantly, the mythical vision of the wolf built into the human collective unconscious over millennia. To these archetypal aspects, another insidious feature must be added: the peculiar tendency of the wolf to host and transmit rabies, which can transform a wary, human-shy animal into a viciously aggressive, slavering beast, akin to Fenrir, the monstrous wolf of Norse mythology.
In the spring of 1983, R D Lawrence, a Canadian naturalist and wildlife author, spent time with a captive pack of wild wolves in British Colombia and published his observations in his book: In Praise of the Wolf (1986). As the title indicates, Lawrence had a deep love for this remarkable animal that

DR DAVID LILLEY
“A Dog’s Life.” Lac-can is a remedy of indispensable value to the practitioner of 'depth homeopathy'. The ancients quite rightly understood the dog to be guardian of the underworld, guide of souls from one realm to another, and the intermediary between different levels of consciousness. When a patient’s emotions and feelings are deeply repressed, when dreams have ceased or never been, when the personal shadow is heavily burdened with unresolved emotions and experiences, and unrealised and undeveloped aspects of the soul, when the false-self holds sway, it is often the dog that leads the physician into the deepest realms of the unconscious and releases the pains of the past through the myths of dream and delusion.
Cradle To Grave:
In this talk Linda will be looking at the role the Matridonal Remedies play in her practice. She will look at them through her role as a Homoeopath attending births and 'midwifing' the babies into this world and in her work with the dying and 'midwifing' patients out, both at home and in the hospice.
Life is “that luminous pause between two great mysteries which yet are one” Jung. Every day in homoeopathic practice we engage with “the spirit-like life force that enlivens the material organism” and the “hidden spirit-like power” within our medicines. These forces are invisible and intangible, as are the two great forces which shape our world; Eros (life) and Thanatos (death). The task of the homoeopath is to assist the patient to unfurl from out of mystery and back into mystery, with the minimum degree of friction (holding on) and the maximum degree of flow (letting go) thus enabling as healthy a passage as possible. How do we do that?
Everything we do in life, from Cradle to Grave and Beyond, is connected and affects our health. In her talk Kelly will describe why she thinks that we benefit our patients by giving them an awareness of this connection. By supplying them not only with remedies that can and do help them, but also with information on nutrition and lifestyle choices. Homeopathy is wonderful, with it Kelly has retrieved her own daughter after she was harmed by vaccines, however lifestyle choices and nutrition can affect how well homeopathy works. Without information one cannot make an informed choice. We, as homeopaths, are in an honoured position of being able to facilitate the gathering of that information and to support our patients in their choices
"Cradle to Grave and Beyond": The Homeopathic encounter occurs on (At least) 2 levels simultaneously; There is the level of the patient; their history, ideas, feelings and relationships etc. There is also the level, or field, of the disease; body symptoms, sensations, dream images, signs (such as facial expressions or unconscious movements) and even environmental synchronicities such as a sudden commotion in the street outside which can point to unexplained mysteries which are waiting to unfold.
These unexplained mysteries relate to the disease itself. They require us to CONNECT rather than THINK in order that they are free to unfold! Using case examples and maps. Bill will illustrate how we can travel beyond the rational world into the very PRESENCE of the disease itself as it seeks to transform into new life pathways.
