Join the Irish Association for Women in Geosciences (IAWG) at the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) for an inspiring evening of talks and discussion exploring the role of women in geoscience. This event will showcase a diverse group of prominent geoscienctists working in Ireland today, contemplating the role of women in industry and academia, the challenges they may face and what lies ahead.

Assoc. Prof Patrick Wyse Jackson (TCD) will share his research on the history of women in geoscience, Taly Hunter Williams (GSI) will speak about her experience as a women working in geoscience and Fani Papageorgiou (UCD) will discuss the bright future for women in geoscience. Following the presentations the speakers will form a panel and an open discussion will be chaired encouraging the audience to ask questions and engage in healthy debate.

This event promises to be an eye-opening and stimulating evening for anyone interested in geoscience and who wishes to learn more about this frontier subject.
