ITT Dublin Computing Showcase Event 2017
Thu 4 May 2017, 17:00 – 19:00 IST
The students and staff of the Department of Computing wish to welcome you to this Project Exhibition at the Institute of Technology Tallaght. The event is a showcase for our final year students who are completing their Honours degrees in Computing and IT Management with a selection of other work.
We are delighted once again that the IBM-ITT Dublin Project Mentorship programme has continued for another year – details of these projects can be found in this booklet. With industry engagement and support, our programmes continue to evolve with significant technological updates and development in all streams. Our new cloud and virtualisation laboratory, which was generously supported by a donation from ICON, gives real hands on experience to undergraduates and supports our new work in service engineering. It underpins our philosophy is that IT Tallaght graduates gain experience of actual industry systems and software.
You can find the full list of programmes offered by the Department of Computing in this booklet. In 2015 over 92% of IT Tallaght Computing/IT Management level 8 graduates found employment as ICT specialists in industry with another 5% going on to further study. Top employers were IBM, SAP, Ergo with Microsoft, PaddyPower, SAGE, Bearing Point, INTEL, Guidewire also featuring among the 50 Honours Degree level graduates.
In Spring 2017 over 70 IT Tallaght third year students obtained internships into a wide range of roles including software development, business intelligence and general IT. These are excellent skilled graduates with current knowledge who will prove a real asset to any company securing their services. We are expanding further our internship and placement programmes to all programmes – if you are interested in contributing to their development through placement or other activities we would be more than happy to speak to you.
We hope you enjoy this exhibition.
