About this event
Iveragh Learning Landscapes is a weekend full of walks, talks and workshops focusing on outdoor education, place-based learning and nature connection all while using the Iveragh Peninsula as an outdoor classroom.
Stories of Change is a project funded by Creative Ireland to tell the stories of good people in Ireland doing good things for the Environment through an Exhibition of local heroes from 4 counties - Kerry, Donegal, Galway and Clare. The weekend will officially open the Exhibition of the 10 Kerry Environment heroes and celebrate their work through talks, workshops, music and food.
Friday
Venue: Tech Amergin, Waterville
5pm -7pm Seaweed food preparation workshop
6pm Free pizza, tea and coffee, BYO alcoholic beverages.
7pm-9pm Opening of Iveragh Learning Landscapes and Stories of Change Weekend

Option 2: Kayak and Paddle Boarding Lough Currane with Sea Synergy (for ages 8+)
Option 3: Foraging local Woodland near Lough Currane
Option 4: Seaweed Lunch Preparation Workshop, Tech Amergin
Option 5: Seaweed seashore workshop, Waterville strand
13.00pm: free Seaweed lunch prepared by Wildstrands & community
12.30pm - 4pm: Opening of Stories of Change exhibition by TV host Danni Washington, stalls, live music and more!
