James Keegan
Overview
At just 21, Cork born folk-rock artist James Keegan is rapidly becoming one of Ireland’s most compelling young voices. Blending the warmth of folk with the energy of indie-rock, his husky, soulful vocals and honest songwriting have already earned him four No.1 singles on the Irish iTunes Charts, alongside praise from Live Nation, Hot Press Magazine, EARMILK and Notion.
2025 has been a breakthrough year, with James bringing his music to audiences worldwide, performing in over 16 countries around the world spanning across Europe, Scandinavia, and the United States. His magnetic live presence has taken him to perform in over 30 states across the US, touring with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Geoff Tate and Cork-born troubadour Tomás McCarthy, playing renowned venues such as the House of Blues in New Orleans, Ruth Eckerd Hall in Florida, and the Aztec Theatre in Texas.
With his debut EP “Teaching Our Teachers”, James emerges as a voice that refuses to be confined by gentle boundaries. Produced by Christian Best of Monique Studios and featuring members of Mick Flannery’s band, the project weaves together intimate acoustic moments with bold sonic experimentation.
Returning to Cork in December from a year of touring, James comes home with a wealth of international experience and a growing global following. With a sound that bridges the raw emotion of folk and the wide appeal of modern rock, James Keegan is fast becoming a bold, authentic new voice on the global stage.
